Current services include the county’s Domestic Violence Program, Counseling programs, a Food Pantry and Food Buying Club, Crime Victim’s Advocacy, Kinship Caregivers and a Thrift Store, Community Service Restitution program, and emergency assistance.  http://www.CharitiesCCDOS.org

Head Start is a comprehensive child development program which serves children from ages three to five and their families.  The programs are child-focused and have the overall goal of increasing the Kindergarten readiness of young children.  Head Start is a national program that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services to enrolled children and families.  Head Start’s special focus is on helping preschoolers develop the early reading and math skills they need to be successful in school.  https://www.sccdcny.org/universal-pre-kindergarten

Whispering Pines Preschool is an approved New York State Early Intervention Service Provider for the statewide Early Intervention Program under Title II-A of Article 25 of the Public Health Law.*  Our home and community based Early Intervention program provides therapy and education services to infants and toddlers with a disability or developmental delay.  Qualified professionals who are licensed, certified, and/or registered in their discipline and approved by the state provide a variety of therapeutic and support services to the children and their families.  http://www.wppkids.com/earlyintervention.asp
